Zoro (ゾロ) Single and Album

ZORO : To continue after haitus

At the recently held JACK IN THE BOX on December 27th, ZORO announced their hiatus, but reasons were withheld, much like any more information on further activities.

On December 29th, during their last performance with all four members at C.C. Lemon Hall, ZORO announced that drummer Yuya and guitarist Taizo will be eventually leaving the band.

However, vocalist Ryuji and bassist Tatsuhi also made sure to announce that ZORO will not disband completely, but that the two of them will continue their activities in the future.

Amongst the sounds of sobs and crying of the audience Ryuji said: "ZORO won't break up. I and Tatsuhi will protect ZORO."

ZORO new look

This is ZORO's (ゾロ) new look for their upcoming single『HOUSE・ OF・ MADPEAK』
I think it's a little bit weird but cute, especially Ryuji!

Oshare kei band ZORO announced that they will release their fourth single, entitled HOUSE・OF・MADPEAK, on August 11th.

The single will be released in two different editions. The regular edition will contain three new songs and the limited edition will include a DVD with PV for title track.

Their latest single, GOLD CARD, was released in March and ranked fourth on the Oricon indies charts.

Zoro's Third Single

Two months after performing a one-man live at SHIBUYA-AX, visual kei band Zoro have planned the release of their third single, titled GOLD CARD, for March 3rd. GOLD CARD will go on sale in two versions, with each one including the same two tracks and a differing third track. A short one-man tour around Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo called [CRASH] has also been booked to follow up the release. As a side note, German label Gan-shin has announced the European release of Zoro's second album, CORE, for March 5th. It will feature the original twelve tracks from the CD, plus the songs PINK and warp, released on the single Playear in Japan.

Over The Edge 2009

Visual-kei bands will get together for the third incarnation of the New Year's Eve live event ‘Over The Edge ‘09'. This year the very best of the second generation neo visual-kei bands, including 12012, Ayabie, and girugamesh, will unite at Shibuya C.C.Lemon Hall!

The annual event will be hosted and directed mainly by the bands that appeared in the very first ‘Over The Edge' event in 2007. A new category called the ‘Legend Slot' has been added, and as the first ‘Legend Slot' artist D'ERLANGER will appear. D'ERLANGER made waves with their spectacular debut in the late 1980s, and created quite a stir in the music industry. A plethora of unannounced special guests will also make surprise appearances too. If you're a visual-kei freak be sure to join the party!
